Nokia Secret Codes

Warning!

I do not take any responsibility of any damage to your Nokia cellphone as a result of applying any of these codes listed below. So please try these codes on your own risk.

Some of the given secret codes may not work on your cellphone depending on the Nokia cellphone model you are using.

The given Nokia codes have been tested, without any problem, on Nokia 5210, Nokia 5210e, Nokia 6310 and Nokia N73.

Note: Use the “*” button to obtain the “p,w” and “+” symbols.


Codes List (1):

*#06#
This would show you Mobile's IMEI or Serial Number (Unique)

*#0000#

This would show you the following:

  • Software version
  • Software release date
  • Compression type

*#7370#
This secret will format the phone memory ( not the memory card ) and will delete all the contacts and logs etc...
*3370# and #3370#
This would activate and deactivate EFRC (Enhanced Full Rate Codec) respectively on your Nokia cellphone for the best sound quality, but it will in turn reduce talk-time by approximately 3%.
*4720# and #4720#
This would activate and deactivate HRC (Half Rate Codec) on your Nokia cellphone, to use a lower sound quality, but increase the Nokia cellphone talk-time about 50%.

*#746025625#
This code shows, SIM CLOCK STOP ALLOWED.

This secret code is activated to send free SMS (Rumor!). Some people say it is just a power saving feature.

Shows you GSM network provider lock status.
#pw+1234567890+2#
Shows you GSM network lock status.
#pw+1234567890+3#
Shows country lock status.

#pw+1234567890+4#
Shows SIM card lock status.

The code shows the following informaton:
  • Cell phone serial number (IMEI)
  • Manufacture date (MMYY)
  • Purchase date (MMYY) which is editable
  • Last repair date (MMYY)
  •  Life timer (include total hours the Nokia cellphone has been used to make/receive call, SMS, download, etc...) 
Note:  To exit this mode you need to switch your phone off then on again

    How can i check IMEI (Serial Number) of my Nokia Mobile

    IMEI stands for "International Mobile Equipment Identity" and is used by the Cellular Network to identify the valid devices i.e. to keep the track whcih call is being made from which device. To check EMEI (Serial number) of your mobile, you are just to press *#06#.
    This code would show Serial Number (EMEI) on your Nokia Mobile screen.
